Confident care’s shampoo cap contains a shampoo and conditioner which cleans and softens the hair. Ideal for people with dementia or those who are unable to tolerate showers or rinse basins; it’s a soothing, waterless, rinse free system to cleanse and untangle hair.

Confident Care Bedbath™

The Bedbath™ has a unique cleansing formula with a PH level close to that of normal healthy skin. With aloe and vitamin E it moisturises and nourishes, using ultra soft, garment quality disposable washcloths to reduce drag and friction against sensitive skin. It can be used on all areas of the body and is so gentle and non-irritating, it can be used on the face.
Warm in a microwave for up to 30 seconds before use.

Oral swabs

These oral swabs have a soft foam head with perpendicular ridges to lift debris and mucus, clean between teeth and stimulate oral tissue mimicking the mechanical actions of a toothbrush without injuring fragile tissue and sensitive mucosa.

The oral swabs come infused with a specially compounded paste that includes Xylitol and Bicarbonate of Soda. Xylitol has been found to prevent tooth decay and helps prevent dental cavities by starving the bacteria and re-mineralising tooth enamel whilst increasing the flow of saliva in the mouth

HME filters

Heat/Moisture Exchange (HME) filters are a type of stoma cover which help laryngectomees partially restore functions previously performed by our noses and upper airways. HME filters protect against bacteria and viruses in respiratory therapy applications such as tracheostomy which require heat and moisture exchange.

Mechanical or pleated hydrophobic Filters usually have a higher Bacterial / Viral Filtration Efficiency (> 99,999%), while Electrostatic Filters achieve a good filtration capacity (> 99,99%) with low flow resistance.

Each Filter can be equipped with a hygroscopic cellulose membrane which retains heat and moisture coming from the patient during expiration and releases the above heat and water vapor during the following inspiration, by conditioning the dry and cold gases coming from the ventilator. Through this device the patient can be properly supported in humidification needs, in order to preserve the efficiency of mucociliary elevator function and an adequate consistency of tracheal secretions.

HYGROBAC™: HYGROBAC and HYGROBAC S are electrostatic filter combined with a heat and moisture exchanger: rounded-shaped, they grant for a high filtration efficiency and an optimal humidification capacity together with a low flow resistance and a small compressible volume.

Every Filter is tested in independent international Laboratories to certify its bacterial/viral efficiency against specific microorganisms such as
Mycobacterium Tubercolosis, Hepatitis C and HIV.
